      Ursula Smith Beach is currently recognized as a teacher, author, editor, and county historian. Born in and educated in Clarksville and Nashville, she received her baccalaureate degree from Southwestern Presbyterian College shortly after World War I and her master's degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville is the county seat of Montgomery County, Tennessee, United States. It is the fifth-largest city in the state behind Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. The city had a population of , at the census, and an estimated population of , in County: Montgomery.
